Emma C. Patterson wrote "Your Town and My Town" for the Suburban & Wayne Times from 1949 to 1958. It was written during a time when Wayne's founders were still around to reminisce about the formation of the area's prominence. The articles are a wealth of information, with many names and places listed.

Antique atlases are one of the greatest sources of information for researchers of Main Line history. Among other things they tell us what buildings existed at certain times, who owned properties, original names and alignments of streets, and much more. These atlases are large and ungainly to look at, but several external websites have been created with digital scans to browse.
